J'khand Govt announces reward on Maoists, militants

The Jharkhand government today announced a combined reward of Rs 8.69 crore on the heads of 73 absconding Maoists and militants of the People's Liberation Front of India.
Chief Minister Raghubar Das has given consent to the proposed reward money in the event of arrest of the rebels, an official release said here.
Each of the 16 Left Wing guerrillas in the 'ranks' of Central Committee Secretary, Special Area Committee Members and Regional Bureau Members carry the maximum reward of Rs 25 lakh, the release said.
Varying amounts were also announced for the rest of the absconding extremists.
