Haridwar, Dehradun, Vikasnagar and Selaqui have been earmarked for creation of Japanese Electronic Clusters, Chief Secretary Alok Kumar Jain said at a meeting with officials of the Japanese embassy at the secretariat here today.
He said the government would give all possible support for promotion of IT�based industry in the state.
50 acres of land have been identified in Haridwar which will be shown to the Japanese delegation tomorrow, Principal secretary (industry) Rakesh Sharma said.
Secretary (Economics Division) of the Japanese Embassy Tomofyumi Phukamiya and Deputy Director General of Japan External Trade Organisation Kenchiro Toyophuku spoke at length about the Japanese Electronic Cluster at the meeting.
