Javadekar, the Union HRD Minister Javadekar and Tomar the Union RD & UD Minister Tomar were in the city to attend BJP's two-day state executive meeting here. Both the ministers said this while reacting to Satpathy's recent letter to Tomar in Odia language.
Satpathy also reacted over the Union Minister's remarks and took the social media route to point out Tomar's letter "written in English" to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who also belongs to Odisha.
The language row started on Friday when Tomar wrote to Satpathy in Hindi language inviting him to a programme and the Dhenkanal MP gave him reply by writing back in Odia expressing his "inability to comprehend" the Union minister's Hindi letter.
Satpathy had also suggested to Tomar to write to him letter either in Odia or in English languages.
Satpathy felt that Tomar imposed Hindi language on him and other non-Hindi speaking people by writing letter in the Hindi language.
Tomar, however, said: "I will be careful next time when writing to him (Satpathy). I thank him for the suggestion."
"However, I would suggest to him (Satpathy) to ask his chief minister to speak and write in Odia language also," Tomar told reporters here.
