Jaya chairs meeting to finalise TN response on Prez Ref

The apex court is looking into the Presidential Reference moved by the government for its opinion on issues arising out of its 2G spectrum judgement, where it quashed the first-come-first serve system, including whether auctioning of natural resources across all sectors is mandatory.

A five-judge Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice S H Kapadia had issued notices to state governments and industrial chambers FICCI and CII seeking their responses.

Jayalalithaa chaired a meeting with Finance Minister O Panneerselvam, Chief Secretary and Finance Secretaries among others, a state government release here said without elaborating.
