Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today stressed upon participation of villagers in the implementation of schemes, for which funds would be given to the villagers to complete the schemes.
Stating that the poor are more honest than others, he asked the officials to have confidence in the people and connect them with development.
"For this, necessary amendments be made in the rules," an official release said quoting the chief minister.
Connecting villagers in developmental programmes would give them a sense of involvement, which would speed up development, he said while reviewing Tejaswini and Johar Yozana projects.
Das said six backward districts -- Pakur, Khunti, Simdega, Gumla, Sahibganj and Chaibasa -- would be brought among the developed districts in two to three years.
He asked to give these districts priority in schemes meant for the poor.
