G Siba (23) stabbed S Kausalya (24) several times while she was returning home after evening prayer last night. Later he committed suicide by consuming poison, Sub-divisional Police Officer (SDPO) H H Pani said.
Siba's body was found on the outskirt of the village, he said.
Siba was suspected to have killed Kausalya as she refused to accept his propsal of marriage, although both were in an affair, police said.
Kausalya had been deserted by her husband.
