The Jammu and Kashmir government today sanctioned ex-gratia relief of Rs 41 lakh while clearing some 12 cases of militancy-related incidents in summer capital Srinagar.
The district-level screening-cum-coordination committee met under the chairmanship of Srinagar Deputy Commissioner Farooq Ahmad and discussed 19 cases of militancy-related incidents, an official spokesman said.
"Out of these, 12 cases have been cleared for sanction of cash in lieu of jobs," he said.
Rs 41 lakh had been sanctioned as ex-gratia relief in favour of the next of kin of the deceased and injured persons, the spokesman said.
Five cases of compassionate appointments were also cleared, the spokesman said.
