The health department has posted 11 senior doctors to the only major hospital of this mountainous district which was facing huge shortage of medical practitioners for years, BJP leader Sudesh Singh said today.
He also said this was made possible with the tireless efforts of Minister of State for Roads and Buildings and local MLA Sunil Sharma.
Doctors specialising in surgery, anaesthesia and gynaecology were posted in the of Kishtwar's district hospital.
The doctors have been appointed in four to five departments of the hospital which were vacant for past one decade, the BJP leader said.
The government is fully committed for uplifting the remote and backward regions of the state and these steps will go in a long way in establishing the faith among the poor masses of the state, the minister said.
