JKDF demands land compensation to border villagers in Jammu

"Government must take the matter with defense authorities to get released the compensation or persuade the army authorities to vacate the land occupied so that villagers of border areas of Akhnoor in Jammu district could make use of the same," district president youth wing of JKDF Munish Khajuria said after visiting the border villages.

The land which otherwise could have been used for the agricultural purpose by the farmers is under Army occupation that too without any compensation or relief being given to the affected, he alleged and appealed the government to release immediately the compensation or get the land vacated at the earliest.
