Traders said scattered buying by stockists against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly led to the rise in jowar prices.
In the national capital, jowar yellow and white advanced to Rs 1,490-1,500 and Rs 2,550-2,650 from previous levels of Rs 1,480-1,500 and Rs 2,500-2,600 per quintal respectively.
