Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said the Jharkhand State Minority Commission (JSMC) should be a model throughout the country.
"The commission makes active contribution to change the lives of minorities in the state. Prepare a list of intelligent children, government will help in making them skilled," Das said while reviewing the work of JSMC here.
He said the state government is committed to providing education according to the needs of the present day in Madrasas.
While approving the suggestion by the members of the JSMC, the chief minister said Madrasa students are becoming become doctors and engineers. "For this, make a research team to start computer, mathematics, science courses in Madrasas," he said.
On the suggestion of the members, to affiliate Alim and Fazil to the university, officers were given instructions to hold a meeting with Education department. The suggestion on the necessity to study mother tongue was appreciated, an official release said quoting him.
The chief minister said minority finance corporation will give loan without guarantor to minority children, adding women will be linked to the self-help groups and employment.
He said that the JSMC should start a helpline, in which the problems of minorities will be heard and resolved.
Spread awareness about schemes for minority by creating posters, banners, advertisements in regional language, he said.
