JSPL urges 20,000 employees to give up use of subsidised LPG

Naveen Jindal-led JSPL today said it has requested its over 20,000 employees to consider voluntarily giving up use of subsidised LPG.
The move comes close on the heels of Tata and Vedanta groups making similar requests, after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a "Give it Up" call to citizens, who can afford, to voluntarily let go of the domestic LPG subsidy.
"As a progressive and forward looking organisation committed to Build a Nation of our Dreams, we have appealed to all our employees to participate in this first-of-its-kind landmark initiative under leadership of our dynamic Prime Minister," Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) Chairman Naveen Jindal said in a statement.

Jindal, who gave up his subsidised LPG said, "I am glad to see the large scale response coming from our employees who have joined me in giving up domestic LPG subsidy as our personal contribution towards nation building.
