Junior doctor molested by nursing orderly

A junior resident doctor working at a prominent city hospital was allegedly molested in her office by a senior nursing orderly.
Police are now on the lookout for the accused who is absconding and have registered a case under the relevant sections of IPC.
The woman in her complaint has alleged that, she was resting at the duty office on May 19 after attending to her patients when Kumar, who was in charge of the duty room, entered the office on the pretext of serving tea and touched her inappropriately.
The woman managed to escape and informed her colleagues. Kumar, meanwhile, escaped from the hospital premises.

Dr A K Rai, the medical superintendent of Safdarjung Hospital said he had received the complaint last Sunday from the Head of the Department, Gynaecology.
"The HOD, Gynaecology herself had come to narrate the incident. As it was a Sunday, I told her that I will take up the matter on Monday. And on Monday we constituted a Committee to enquire into the allegations as per Vishakha guidelines. Simultaneously, the accused was suspended and an FIR was also filed," said Dr Rai.
"Efforts are on to arrest the accused. We are verifying his past record," a senior police official said.
