Kailash Kund Yatra to begin from August 14 in Doda hills

The decision was taken yesterday at a meeting chaired by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ram Rattan Sharma while finalising necessary arrangements for the yatra.

Supply of essential commodities, installation of drinking water points at different locations en route from base camp at Dudu to Seoj Dhar, proper medicare, provision of tents and blankets, deployment of volunteers and transport facilities were discussed at the meeting, an official said.

A control room will be set up by the authorities at Dudu to ensure smooth conduct of the yatra, the official said.

A camp would also be established at Seoj Dhar base to ensure comfortable stay of pilgrims and provision of essential commodities, he said.

The Nehru Yuva Kendra would offer services of 10 members to the Yatra nodal officer to facilitate the pilgrimage, he said.
