: The gopura kalasam (inverted pot-like metal object atop the tower) of Azhagu Nachiamman Temple at the foothills of Palani were allegedly stolen early Tuesday, police said.
The electrical fittings on the tower were also stolen, the police said quoting officials of the place of worship.
Investigation is on, the police said.
