"Whatever is happening at Kalyani (University) is unfortunate. Everybody should maintain discipline," Tripathi told reporters here in his reaction to the incident which occurred at the university campus yesterday.
Asked whether he as Chancellor of the university would take any action in the matter, Triapthi said "I have asked the higher education minister to visit Kalyani (University)."
The estate officer and the admission committee chairperson of Kalyani University were assaulted yesterday allegedly by students and employees who were agitating to press their demand for resignation of the Vice-Chancellor Rattan Lal Hangloo.
The VC has, however, rubbished their claims.
