Kamal Bali elected chairman of CII's Karnataka Council

: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) today said that Kamal Bali, Managing Director, Volvo India Pvt. Ltd, has been elected as Chairman of its Karnataka State Council for the year 2017-18.
Sanjeev Sharma, Country Managing Director, ABB India Ltd, has been elected as Vice Chairman, it said in a release.
Their names were announced at the meeting of the reconstituted Southern Regional Council held here today.
Bali was the Deputy Chairman of CII - Karnataka for the year 2016-17.
He had joined the Volvo Group in India in April 2014, as Managing Director and a Board member of the company.

"As always, CII Karnataka has a very significant agenda in the coming year and we will pursue the same tirelessly, especially to build the capacity and capability of our membership, engage with other stakeholders to advocate win-win policy interventions, so as to create a distinct Brand India," Bali said.
Sanjeev Sharma, who has been appointed as Vice Chairman, has spent close to 27 years at ABB, having worked in different roles and geographical locations across Europe, South East Asia and India.
