He was rushed to a private hospital in a semi-unconscious condition after which medical examination and other tests were conducted on him. His condition has now improved, they said, adding all the tests were normal.
"His (Jayendra Saraswati) sugar level went down and he was admitted to a hospital. He is now stable and his condition has improved. A team of doctors from Chennai including his personal doctor is on the way to Nellore. They will decide after checking his health condition whether to shift him to Chennai or not," Nellore District Superintendent of Police P V S Ramakrishna told PTI.
Kanchi Mutt head Jayendra Saraswati who arrived in Nellore three days ago, was scheduled to perform a religious ritual at the Chandramouleeswara Swamy temple in Nellore tomorrow.
