Investigators have identified three more persons who allegedly assaulted Nido Tania, the youth from Arunachal Pradesh who died following an attack by some shopkeepers in the Lajpat Nagar area here in an incident which has triggered nationwide outrage.
According to a senior officer, several teams of Delhi Police have been sent to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab to trace the trio. Two shopkeepers have already been apprehended in this case.
Meanwhile, Tania's post-mortem report is expected tomorrow.
"The post-mortem report of Tania would be out on Monday. It would reveal the exact cause of death following which we will review the FIR which has been lodged in the case," police said.
The 19-year-old Tania is the son of Arunachal Pradesh Congress MLA and Parliamentary Secretary in Health and Family Welfare Department, Nido Pavitra.
The deceased's relatives have alleged that he was thrashed by some shopkeepers in Lajpat Nagar of south Delhi on Wednesday after he got into an altercation with them over their remarks on his hairstyle. The death of the youth is being attributed to the thrashing he was subjected to by the accused.
The initial post-mortem had not revealed "much injury or aberration". His viscera samples have been preserved to ascertain the cause of death, police had said.
