Karna HC sets aside BJP MLA's election

Independent candidate Kavita Mahesh had challenged the MLA's election after her application was rejected by the Returning Officer without furnishing any valid reason.

The High Court not only upheld Kavita's petition but also issued orders to initiate criminal proceedings against the Returning Officer Ashok for rejecting her application.

Reddy was elected from K R Puram Assembly Constituency in the elections held on May 10, 2008.
