"I have not watched this film. It is being said the film has been produced (made) in a way insulting the Eelam Tamil fighters (LTTE). It would be proper only if state government ascertains if this information is true and took appropriate action," he said.
The DMK chief was responding to a query in party mouthpiece "Murasoli" whether the film should be banned. Pro-Tamil outfits including Vaiko's MDMK and Seeman's Naam Tamilar have sought a ban on the Hindi flick, slated for release this week.
The film was shown to select activists of pro Tamil outfits here on Sunday, after they demanded screening of the movie before release, as they suspected it showed LTTE in bad light.
