The 40-year-old actor will star alongside 'The Adventures of Tintin' star Simon Pegg, who is playing the role of a teacher in the movie, reported Contactmusic.
Ben Timlett and Bill Jones are producing the movie.
"We are over the moon to welcome Kate Beckinsale to our brilliant cast. She's perfect in the role of Catherine and joins some of the best names in comedy," said Timlett.
A host of other A-Listers are likely to appear in the film which includes 'Goodness Gracious Me' star Sanjeev Bhaskar, comedian Eddie Izzard and 'The Wolf of Wall Street' star Joanna Lumley.
