Kawad Yatra:Vehicle movement on NH-58 restricted from tomorrow

In a bid to ensure smooth movement of Kawad yatris, diversion will be put in place on National Highway 58 from tomorrow midnight.
There will be one way movement of vehicles till August 8 evening. The highway will be entirely closed for traffic from August 8 to 13, Senior Superintendent of Police D K Dubey said.
Heavy vehicles coming from Delhi and Gaziabad can enter Meerut via Harpur, the SSP said.
Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Superintendent, Meerut region, Ashok Kumar said Vaishali bus stand on Delhi Road will remain shut from tomorrow mid-night till August 13. The buses on the route will operate from Sohrab Gate during this period.

During the diversion, the fare of the buses along the route will be hiked, he said.
