LDF approach is "coward's weapon" as they fear the lapses of the previous LDF Government in dealing with frauds committed by Solar panel accused, Chandy told reporters during the briefing on the cabinet meet.
Chandy denied the opposition charge of irregularities in installing solar solutions at CM's Official residence and CM's office at the secretariat.
He said the state's non-conventional energy agency Anert installed the panel at CM's residence and government agency C-DIT at CM's office. Opposition was trying to create smokescreen over the issue, he said.
On Opposition allegation that scam involved crores of rupees, Chandy said 15 cases involving a total sum of Rs.Five crore have been registered after the UDF government came to power.
On the telephone conversation between his two staff members who were later sacked from office, with accused person, Chandy said mere telephone talk was not a crime. But, if they have done anything to protect the accused, action would be taken.
"Special Investigation Team is probing that matter', he added.
Earlier in the day, continuing to target Chief Minister LDF members stalled proceedings in the assembly by shouting slogan and trooping into the Well of the House.
LDF members reiterated the demand for Chandy's resignation and a judicial probe alleging he had links with the scam accused Saritha Nair and Biju Radhakrishnan, who financially cheated many people by promising them solar panel solutions and agencies.
The issue has been disrupting proceedings in the House for the last three days and feeder outfits of CPI-M and CPI have been running a campaign across the state.
The accused in the case, Saritha and Biju Radhakrishnan, have been arrested and remanded to custody.
