Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has expressed grief over the demise of Chhattisgarh Governor Balramji Dass Tandon today.
Tandon, who was one of the founder members of the BJP's parent organisation Jan Sangh, died after suffering a heart attack at a government hospital in Raipur today. He was 90.
In a condolence message, the chief minister said that Tandon was a senior leader who devoted his whole life to inculcate value-based politics and stood by the poor and needy people.
He became the governor of Chhattisgarh in July 2014.
Khattar conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed the Almighty to rest the soul in eternal peace.
Meanwhile, the deceased's son Sanjay Tandon, who is the Chandigarh BJP president, rushed to Raipur.
