It will be developed by Tehri Hydro Development Corporation (THDC) and Uttar Pradesh power corporation limited (UPPCL).
It will be set up on 1,201 acre land and total project cost is Rs 10,498 crores. Gautam Buddha Nagar district comprising Noida and Greater Noida will be able to get 24X7 power supply, Sharma said.
The plant will lead to industrial growth and agriculture production too will increase as farmers will be able to get enough power supply to run tubewells for irrigation of fields, said Sharma.
