Kishmish goes up on stockists' buying

Kishmish prices firmed up by Rs 50 per 40 kg at the wholesale dry fruits market today on emergence of stockists' buying following uptick in demand.

However, other dry fruits remained flat in thin trade.

Marketmen said stockists' buying, driven by pick-up in demand against restricted supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up kishmish prices.

In the national capital, kishmish Indian yellow and green went up by Rs 50 each to Rs 3750-4450 and Rs 5450-8050 per 40 kg, respectively.
