KPCC report on Tharoor under AICC disciplinary panel's

The report of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee seeking action against party MP Shashi Tharoor for praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi is under the consideration of the disciplinary panel of All India Congress Committee (AICC).
While declining to make any comment on the possible action against Tharoor based on the report, KPCC president V M Sudheeran said it had been referred to AICC's disciplinary panel.
"It would not be proper on my part to comment on the outcome since the report is now under AICC's consideration," he told reporters.
Taking strong exception to his repeated praise of Modi and his initiatives like "Swachh Bharat" campaign, Congress in Kerala had sought appropriate action by high command against Tharoor.

The report held that Tharoor's adulatory statements about Modi had hurt Congress workers in Kerala, who had worked sincerely and tirelessly for his victory for his victory from Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat.
However, senior Congress leader Motilal Vora, who is one of the members of the disciplinary panel, said that they are yet to receive the complaint.

As per practice, if the party decides to take action against Tharoor, the matter will have to be decided by the three-member disciplinary action committee of AICC, comprising leaders Motilal Vora, A K Antony and Sushilkumar Shinde.
The state unit first sends a complaint to the AICC general secretary in-charge of the state or directly to the disciplinary action committee. The party general secretary in-charge may also send the report to the discipinary committee.

"We have yet not recieved the complaint from either side so far. If it comes to us, we will see it," Vora said.
Tharoor has reacted sarcastically to the move saying this would mean the state leadership would finally read what he actually wrote instead of oral summaries.
He had consistently rejected suggestions that he was moving closer to the BJP by asserting that he was a "proud Congressman" and never endorsed the "Hindutva agenda" of the BJP.
