The Kukke Sree Subramanya temple has donated Rsthree crore to the Chief Minister's relief fund as aid to flood-affected people of Kodagu district.
Temple managing committee chairman Nityananda Mundodi handed over the cheque for the amount to manager of the Vijaya Bank at Subramanya.
Mundodi said the amount would be transferred to the state Muzrai department account through RTGS.
The committee had earlier decided to donate Rs two crore but the amount was increased as per instructions from the government to all temples under the Muzrai department to donate Rs three crore for relief measures in Kodagu, he said.
