Khattar stated this while addressing a public gathering after reviewing the Saraswati river revival project at Muglawali village of Yamuna Nagar district.
In next two-three years, with the support of central government, this district would become world popular for its religious, cultural, spiritual importance in tourism sector, the chief minister said.
With the growth of tourism potential and inflow of more tourists the youth of this area would get more employment opportunities and would lead to economic growth, he added.
The beautification of area would be done with the construction of roads and airports, he said.
On the occasion, Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said that with the development of Saraswati river, the tourism potential would increase in Haryana.
In a bid to attract international tourists, the Centre has decided to develop a 'Krishna Circuit' consisting of five places related to Lord Krishna.
