RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today said talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif should take place as scheduled despite a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
"India and Pakistan should continue to engage with each other to strengthen bilateral relations," he told reporters in reply to a question.
The two prime ministers are scheduled to meet in New York on September 29 on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.
Prasad also slammed BJP for allegedly creating an atmosphere of communal tension in the country for electoral benefits in the next general elections and blamed the saffron party for a spate of riots that took place in various parts of the country.
