The boycott which also affected the proceedings in the Kerala High Court, was in response to the call made by Bar Council of Kerala.
Tension prevailed in the Vanchiyour Court complex in Thiruvananthpuram yesterday after Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel fired two round in the air to disperse the lawyers after a scuffle broke out between them.
Trouble in the court was a sequel to protest by advocates following the arrest of one of their colleagues Rakenthu by RPF for allegedly entering the Central Railway station here without travelling or platform ticket, police said.
RPF officials took Rakenthu into custody, when he was entering the station after purchasing a bottle of water, even though he told the officials that the ticket was with his brother who was sitting on the platform, they said.
