A case under section 3 of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act of 1989 has been registered against the magistrate following orders from the district Human Rights Protection Cell (HRPC).
The case was registered against the magistrate for allegedly insulting a scheduled caste woman police sub-inspector with intent to humiliate her in the name of her caste last week inside the court premises during a judicial proceeding.
