"We have been saying for the last few years that CPI(M), Congress and BJP are having a tacit understanding in Bengal. Today the cat has come out of the bag. Dilip Ghosh's comment regarding an alliance has only proved we are right. The entire opposition is fighting against us," TMC Vice President Mukul Roy said.
Earlier in the day, soon after taking oath as a member of the Assembly, Ghosh had said "As opposition, people have given us the mandate to ensure that the government is on track. To do this if we have to work with all opposition parties, we will do it."
"If you are boycotting the swearing-in ceremony after such a massive mandate, then it is nothing but disrespect of people's mandate," Roy said.
Roy also refuted allegations of Trinamool involvement in post-poll violence as "baseless".
