A severely injured leopard which strayed into a human habitat in Valparai in the district is being treated at the Human Animal Conflict Prevention Centre there.
The leopard was found lying with bleeding injuries in the Manapalli forest range office compound last night, forest department sources said today.
The two-year old animal was not able to stand due to writhing pain and was tranquilised by veterinarian, Manoharan and taken to the government run centre, they said.
The injuries were due to its fight with another leopard or some other animals, they claimed.
