A leopard cub fell into a well at Rafa village under Amarwada forest area of the district last evening, and drowned.
The seven-month-old female cub was apparently looking for water to quench her thirst and fell into the well, said the forest officer Rakesh Damor.
The carcass was removed by forest officials today.
A female leopard with two cubs had been spotted near the village some days ago, and the dead cub could be one of them, officials said.
