Life term for woman in dowry death case

A local court has sentenced a woman to life imprisonment for killing her daughter-in-law for dowry in 2004.
Additional Sessions Judge Amar Pal Singh yesterday awarded life sentence to Lakwari Devi, mother-in-law of Nanda who was killed for dowry on February 25, 2004, counsel for the prosecution said.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict.
Nanda was married on February 13, 2003 to Manoj Kumar Chaubey of Tewari ka Chapra village.
