The Safdarjung observatory, whose reading is considered as the official figure for the city, recorded the maximum temperature of 40.3 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year while the minimum temperature settled at 30.2 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average, said a MeT department official.
The Palam observatory registered a maximum temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius, the official said.
Humidity level in air oscillated between 66 and 41 per cent.
"Tomorrow the skies will be partly cloudy. Dust storms and thunder storms are likely to occur in some parts of the city towards afternoon and evening.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 39 and 28 degrees Celsius respectively," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the minimum temperature had settled at 30.6 degrees Celsius while maximum temperature was recorded at 42.6 degrees Celsius.
