Light rainfall brought some respite from the sweltering heat for people in Jaipur, where the mercury soared over 44 degrees Celsius mark today.
Traces of rain were also recorded in Kota and Churu districts, a MeT official said.
Severe heat waves prevailed in parts of Rajasthan with maximum temperature being recorded at 46.1 degree Celsius in Jaisalmer followed by 46.0 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar.
Churu, Bikaner, Kota, Barmer recorded maximum temperatures of 45.9, 45.7, 45.6 and 45.4 degrees Celsius, while Jaipur, Ajmer, Jodhpur, Dabok and Pilani recorded 44.2, 43.2, 42.4, 42.4 and 42.1 degree Celsius, respectively
