Lightning struck the area in Malhargarh village under Khalwa block during the event last night in which one Shobharam (40) died on the spot, they said.
Thirteen others also suffered burn injuries, they said.
Two of those seriously injured were admitted in Khandwa district hospital for treatment while the others were undergoing medication at Khalwa, they added.
