The 66-year-old "Crazy Heart" star, who will essay the role of Marcus Hamilton in the film, said the movie is not at all predictable, reported Hello! magazine.
"What I liked about this movie is that it's not all so cut and dried. You just never can quite figure out who are the so-called good guys and who are the bad guys.
"I think there's a bit of good guy and bad guy in almost everyone in this film. Marcus is a man who not only is underestimated by other people, but I also think he, like a lot of us, underestimates himself," Bridges said.
"Hell or High Water" also stars Chris Pine, Ben Foster and Katy Mixon in the main roles. It will hit the US theatres on October 13 this year.
