Mahajan will inaugurate the 5th India Region Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Conference in Panaji. She is Chairperson of the Executive Committee of CPA India Region.
The delegation from the CPA India Union Branch going to the two-day conference include Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P J Kurien, Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker M Thambidurai, Lok Sabha MP Hukumdev Narayan Yadav, Rajya Sabha MP Ananga Uday Singh and Lok Saba Secretary General Anoop Mishra.
Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar and Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly Rajendra Arlekar will also address the gathering at the inaugural session.
Participants to the conference will include Presiding Officers and Secretaries from all 31 state CPA Branches in the country.

India, which is an active member of CPA, became a separate region of the CPA in 2005. This Region consists of India Union (Parliament of India) and 31 state CPA branches.
The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association aims to strengthen cooperation among its parliaments and legislatures and is united by community of interests, respect for rule of law and individual rights and freedoms, a release from the Lok Sabha said.
