Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra to assume charge of MRC on June 1

Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra will assume charge as the Colonel of Madras Regimental Centre at nearby Wellington on June 1.
Chopra is at present General Officer Commanding of 17 Corps.
Incumbent Colonel of MRC, S L Narasimhan, who will demit office on May 31, was today given a warm send off by staff and officials.
Earlier, both Narasimhan and Chopra placed wreaths at the war memorial to pay homage to the martyrs of the Regiment, an official release said.
