Actors Lucas Hedges and Sterling K Brown are in negotiations to lead the cast of musical drama "Waves".
The film is a coming-of-age tale that tells two contrasting teen love stories, focusing on both suburban teenagers and their parents.
It will be written and directed by Trey Edward Shults, who is best known for the films "Krisha" and "It Comes By Night", according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Apart from Hedges, 21, and Brown, 42, actors Kelvin Harrison Jr and Taylor Russell will also feature in the project.
The film, to be produced by Kevin Turen and Jim Wilson, will get an original score from Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.
Brown will be next seen in Shane Black's "The Predator", while Hedges is awaiting the release of "Boy Erased".
