Two persons were Friday killed and one seriously injured after the two-wheeler they were riding on was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Akola in Maharashtra, police said.
The incident happened around 4pm on Mahan-Pinjar road in the district, an official said.
"Dinkar Padghan (35), Chandu Jadhav (45) and Balu Padghan were on a motorcycle which was hit by a yet-to-be identified vehicle at a turning on the road. Dinkar and Chandu died on the spot while Balu suffered grievous injuries," Inspector Nitin Chauhan of Pinjar police station said.
A case has been registered and efforts were on to trace the offending vehicle, he added.
