"The state government is trying to implement the recommendations of Ram Pradhan committee report," Patil said during his reply on the Law and Order debate which was initiated by Leader of Opposition in the Upper House Vinod Tawde under rule 260.
The two-member committee, headed by former Governor and Union Home Secretary R D Pradhan, had been appointed to probed into government's response to the terror attacks.
Patil, who had proposed the idea of banning the dance bars, also warned that action would be taken against those public representatives, who were allegedly involved in shielding or helping the dance bar owners.
He urged people from all walks of life to assist the law enforcing authority to maintain the law and order situation in the state.
Patil said that crime against women in the state had seen a gradual increase since 2009. "But the state is safe for women as well as for the Dalits as compared to other states," the minister claimed.
