Two persons were arrested late Friday night for creating ruckus in a police station here after their brother was sentenced to 20 years in jail earlier in the day for kidnapping and raping a mentally unwell woman.
Rajesh Lalchand Mourya, along with four others, was convicted in the case, which took place on January 8, 2016, by district court judge SA Sinha.
The rape and kidnapping case was registered and investigated by Vartak Nagar police.
Mourya's brothers, Mukesh and Mangesh, arrived at Vartak Nagar police station around 6:20pm on Friday, and annoyed at the court verdict, abused the personnel on duty, senior inspector PC Giridhar said.
"They banged their heads against the wall, manhandled and issued threats to the policemen on duty. We have arrested the two," he said.
