Maha Shivratri celebrated in Kerala

Devotees thronged Shiva temples across Kerala on the occasion of Maha Shivratri today.
Devaswom Boards, manning the temple affairs in Kerala, have made elaborate arrangements in Shiva temples for the smooth darshan for devotees.
Temples witnessed heavy rush of people since early morning itself.
Maha Deva Temple in Vaikom, Sree Kandeswara Temple here and Shiva Temple at Ernakulam are some of the famous shrines where the festival is celebrate with religious fervour and gaiety.
Cultural programmes are also organised in temples as part of the festival.
