A major fire today broke out in a workshop of the Ambala power station located on the Ambala-Chandigarh highway, officials said.
There was no report of any casualty, they said.
The drums filled with transformer oil were lying close to the scrap yard, which was gutted in the fire, the officials said.
Fire tenders from Panchkula and Ambala Cantt were rushed to the spot to control the blaze, they said.
The officials said that the cause of the fire, suspected to be short circuit, was yet to be ascertained.
The loss was not estimated so far, an official said.
