According to the DCW sources, Forrest was "impressed" with the Commission's work in areas like Nari-niketan and GB road to prevent human trafficking.
"Forrest discussed issues of domestic violence which is also related to slavery with the DCW chief," a source said.
Forrest was also learnt to have discussed ways of collaboration between her organisation 'Walk Free Foundation' and DCW in the meeting with Maliwal at her office here.
Forrest was accompanied by Hayley Martin Panetta of Minderoo Foundation and Kamini Rana, Lead Indian Campaigner for the Anti-Modern Slavery Organization, Walk Free.
